Bulgaria to appeal UEFA fine

Bulgarian fans: In trouble with UEFA

  360globalmedia.com

The Bulgarian Football Union are to appeal against a £34,000 fine imposed by UEFA after "discriminatory" chanting by home fans against England.

UEFA announced the fine on Friday which was imposed because of the chanting and the lighting and setting off of fireworks during England's 3-0 victory at the Levski Stadium in Sofia on September 2.

The BFU announced on Saturday night on their website that they would appeal against the penalty imposed by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body and seek clarification over why the fine was imposed.
