Pearson: Out-Fox Forest

Pearson: Keen for Foxes backlash

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson wants an immediate response from his players against East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.

The Foxes slipped to a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Barnsley in the league on Saturday.

Ahead of the third-round replay against the Reds, Pearson said: "The priority still, of course, is the league but certainly after a result like the one we had on Saturday, which was the worst since I returned to the club because you don't like losing at home, we need some sort of response against Forest."

Foxes fans chanted 'Pearson, sort it out' against the Tykes and the City boss intends to do just that during the current transfer window.

He added: "There's a bit of an imbalance in the squad at the moment and I will try to address that this month, if we can do business."
