Ethiopia progress in style

Four second-half goals helped Ethiopia to a thumping 5-0 victory over Somalia in the second leg of their first-round World Cup qualifier.

After last week's first leg in Djibouti ended goalless, Ethiopia hit the goal trail in emphatic style in Addis Ababa, with Omod Okwury (5), Shimeles Bekele (62, 65) and Getaneh Kebede (87, 90) on target.

The result sees Ethiopia progress to the group stage of the Africa zone qualifiers, which get under way next summer.

Ethiopia have been drawn in Group A alongside South Africa, Botswana and the Central African Republic.
