Burton have allowed striker Greg Pearson to join League Two rivals Crewe on a month-long loan deal.

The 26-year-old has dropped down the pecking order at the Pirelli Stadium and is likely to be involved in Alex's trip to Oxford due to injuries to strike duo AJ Leitch-Smith and Shaun Miller.

Pearson recently had a spell at Aldershot but only made one appearance for the Hampshire outfit, much to the disappointment of Burton boss Paul Peschisolido.

"I think it's important that Greg gets games, he went to Aldershot and didn't play so he was no better off," Peschisolido said.

Burton visit Crewe on February 14 and Pearson will be unavailable for the game due to the terms of the loan.

The deal will expire on February 20.
